Catch the Vision
LampLight Theatre has become East Tennessee’s premiere Christian theatre and provides the best in live family entertainment. This November 3 & 4th, 2016, they will be hosting a two-day Catch the Vision Fall Share-A-Thon. Over the last eleven years, the theatre company has experienced incredible growth. Growth brings change, and this production company is all about change. Three years ago, they took a step of faith and moved from Fall Branch, TN to 140 Broad Street in downtown Kingsport, TN. The relocation resulted in the purchase of an adjacent building, which is now called The Emporium. Upon final inspection, they hope to open this new venue by the holiday season. The Emporium will house a banquet hall for dinner theatre, a gift shop, and museum/gallery. Thanks to community support and donations from the Spring Banquet held in May of this year, the construction is almost finished.
LampLight Theatre is a part of Vision Productions, Inc. / Billy Wayne Ministries. Vision Productions, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation and operates solely on donations from individuals, business, organizations, and churches. Through those donations, the organization not only provides entertainment through LampLight Theatre, but heads outreach ministries through concerts, retreats, conferences, and camps. Billy Wayne has traveled extensively throughout the United States as a speaker and Christian music artist for over 30 years. Kingsport is the location for the headquarters for that part of the ministry as well.
With a heartbeat for youth, this Christian organization also umbrellas H.A.L.O. (Hope and Love Outreach) which benefits “at risk” and underprivileged children in our local area. H.A.L.O. provides summer camp for 200 students “free of charge.” It also provides book bags and school supplies for the beginning of each school year with their “Back-to-school Bash.” In November, “Festival of Trees” is held at Meadowview Convention Center and is also sponsored by Vision Productions as well. This silent auction provides Christmas presents and food boxes for the students and their families through the H.A.L.O. program.
Through the Catch the Vision “Fall Share-A-Thon,” Vision Productions, Inc. hopes to raise financial support to help cover operating costs for the next 6 months. Their goal for the fundraiser is $150,000. The share-a-thon will be run through social media mainly through the “LampLight Theatre Billy Wayne Ministries” and “Billy Wayne” Facebook pages. For 48 hours on November 3 & 4, 2016, you will be able to make a donation to Vision Productions, Inc. and partner with them to reach the community in so many ways. You can make donations through the Facebook fundraiser found on the above pages, online at www.lamplighttheatre.com, or by calling (423) 245-1551 or (423) 343-1766. Staff members will available at the theatre on November 3 & 4 from 6:00AM until 9:00PM if you would like to make your donations in person, or if you would like to make your donation a recurring gift. Every gift is tax-deductible and is greatly appreciated.
You will be able to follow the progress of the share-a-thon and get updates from the Facebook pages. Be sure to follow the Catch the Vision Fall Share-A-Thon on Twitter, Instagram, and Face Book leading up to November 3rd & 4th. You will see and hear testimonials of how this unique ministry has impacted lives for the sake of Christ. In order for this ministry to continue and go forward, they need the continued community support. You can be a part of something that is making a huge difference for our community.
