grandparents and a church bus ministry in Kingsport, TN. Once on his own in college, Billy Wayne got involved with an evangelistic Christian singing group called New Life. It was during these years that Billy felt God’s call to ministry. Torn between his dreams of New York and his calling, Billy made a choice to give up Broadway to follow the leading of Christ. In complete submission, Billy Wayne went to work for a Christian ministry at Yellowstone National Park. From there, he traveled with His Harmony, performing concerts throughout the western states. Billy Wayne then went to work for The Smoky Mountain Passion Play in Townsend, TN as an actor/singer. One year later, he was the assistant director of America’s largest outdoor drama, “The Great Passion Play”, at the Kingdom Resort in Pigeon Forge, TN. Here, Billy served as the assistant director of the summer production and director of the Christmas production “Christmas at the Kingdom”. During his time at Kingdom Resort, God called Billy Wayne to full-time ministry. Today, Billy Wayne continues to move and inspire people of all ages through this multi-faceted ministry. Weekly outreach mission services called "Koinonia" are held at the theatre on Sunday evenings at 7:30pm. Through conferences, drama, and concerts, Billy Wayne is fulfilling God’s great commission to share the gospel.
