LampLight Theatre is excited to announce its expansion on Broad Street in downtown Kingsport, TN.  The recently renovated Strand Theatre became the new home for LampLight Theatre in May 2013.  With an increase in attendance and additional performances, there has been a great need for more space. As a result, LampLight has purchased the adjoining property (former “Nooks and Crannies”) to open The Emporium: Museum, Gift Shoppe, and Banquet Hall.

With code approval, LampLight wants to connect the two properties to allow access for actors, staff, and patrons.  This would increase the actors’ “green room”/ dressing rooms.  It would also expand the lobby area and gift shop. The new facilities would allow storage for wardrobe, set and props departments. Additional office space, restrooms, kitchen, and a workshop would also be added.

Perhaps the greatest announcement comes with the opening of “The Emporium”.  While the new facilities will accommodate the needs of the theatre, it also provides for new opportunities. LampLight Theatre is honored to announce the opening of the “Banquet Hall” and “Passion Museum”.  The Banquet Hall will host seating for 200 patrons for dinner theatre.  It will also be available for rental for special events.  The Passion Museum will be based on the Life of Christ and will display historical artifacts and artwork about the life and times of Jesus’ ministry on earth.

We ask that you prayerfully consider a donation to allow us to fulfill the vision that God has placed before us to reach more with the Gospel of Christ through dinner theatre and through the museum. For more information, contact Vision Productions at (423) 245-1551.
